New Year's Festival 2026/2027 at Ängsbacka
29 December 2026 – 2 January 2027
Ängsbacka Course & Festival Center (Ängsbacka Kursgård), Nyeds-backa 511, 655 61 Molkom, Molkom
Ängsbacka's New Year's Festival in Sweden — a heart-centered gathering to honour the year past and welcome 2027, combining celebration with reflection. A sober celebration: no alcohol, but fire, music and open hearts.
The programme spans everything from dance to stillness, connection to inner exploration, guided by a team of returning and new facilitators and musicians (announced gradually in the months before the festival).
On 31 December there is a carefully prepared New Year's Eve vegetarian buffet, a dinner experience unique to this time at Ängsbacka. Before midnight the group gathers outside around a bonfire for a small ceremony — time to reflect on the year behind and connect with intentions for the year ahead. As the new year arrives, drums welcome it in and the night continues with music and a DJ set.
Check-in: 15:00–18:30 at the reception. First programme item: preliminarily 16:30. First-night dinner: 18:30–19:30. Welcome ceremony: 20:00 in the Upper Barn. Check-out: 15:00.
Volunteer places are also offered: volunteers commit to the full period 27 December – 3 January, five hours of working meditation per day (except the day off) and the daily sharing practice, in exchange for a reduced fee, three vegetarian meals a day and dorm accommodation.
