New Year's Eve with Piotr Kurpiasz
30 December 2026 – 4 January 2027
Kwatera w leśniczówce Czarne
A New Year's Eve retreat with yoga, meditation and breathing techniques, away from the noise – meant as a real pause and end-of-year reset for people who are tired and overstimulated. Neither a classic yoga workshop nor a typical New Year's party: together we close the old year and step into the new one with fresh energy.
Who it is for
For people who are tired and overstimulated and need a pause. Ashtanga classes are taught for both practitioners and beginners, with an individual approach that takes age, health and fitness into account.
Programme
Practices during the retreat:
Ashtanga yoga – a dynamic meditation in movement
Mindfulness – formally in shared meditations and informally in daily activities, conversations and walks
Pranayama and breathing techniques – the traditional approach to pranayama and using the breath to support the nervous system in daily life
Sound ceremony – focusing on the sounds of bowls and ethnic instruments, combined with pranayama, relaxation and meditation
end-of-year meditations – reflecting on what has passed and on what you need
The workshop includes:
1 gentle yoga session after travel on the first day
4 morning Ashtanga yoga sessions
2 breathing sessions around midday
2 yoga workshops before dinner
3 evening sessions of meditation, pranayama and sound ceremony (including the New Year's Eve meditation)
1 talk on yoga philosophy
Facilitators
Piotr Kurpiasz – teacher of Ashtanga yoga, pranayama and mindfulness with over 20 years of personal practice; for over 12 years he has taught in Wrocław, online and at workshops and retreats (over 100 retreats led). He developed his Ashtanga practice in India under Sharath Jois, who authorised him to teach the Primary Series in 2024; he studied pranayama in India and with Eddie Stern and Robert Moses, and is authorised to teach pranayama at levels 1 and 2 under YEC standards.
