Land of Silence – A Gentle, Secular Retreat

Land of Silence is a secular meditation retreat offering rest from overstimulation and the constant “scrolling of thoughts”. It combines outer silence – nature and no city noise – with inner silence, the quieting of mental chatter. Entering silence and longer meditations happen gradually and gently, and the whole retreat is led lightly, with humour and without imposing any ideology. The organiser notes it is primarily a meditative, introspective retreat, with deep rest as a by-product.

Who it is for

For people with little or more meditation experience, “living between duties, TV series and passions”.

Programme

• secular meditations (from the INTU app and led live)

• introspective exercises about everyday functioning

• periods of silence (not for the whole course)

• a pinch of yoga and movement, breathing exercises from gentle to intense

• forest walks, interpersonal games, free time, optional massages

Facilitators

Michał Niewęgłowski – meditation and breath teacher with 25 years of experience, author of the book “Polubić poniedziałki”, creator of the INTU meditation and psychoeducation app, public health graduate (SWPS); he has taught in Poland, Germany, Portugal and Estonia.

Practical information

Dates: 4 November 2026 from 19:30 (dinner from 18:00) to 8 November, ending with lunch at 12:00. Venue: ODDECHOWO centre. Substance-free event, vegetarian/vegan meals; women room with women and men with men unless participants prefer otherwise. Accommodation and meals to be paid by 4 Oct 2026.
