The Magic of Shamanism. The Healing Power of the Shamanic Journey. Shamanic Power Retrieval

A foundation course and introduction to shamanic therapy withArvick Baghramian, a contemporary shaman and therapist and author of the book "Magia szamanizmu" (The Magic of Shamanism). The workshop introduces the basic principles and techniques of shamanic practice, above all the shamanic journey – entering an altered state of consciousness to the sound of a drum or rattle and making contact with spirit guides. Although the basics of shamanic healing are also covered, the course focuses on personal development rather than on working with others. In the spirit of contemporary shamanic therapy, participants make the journeys and contact their guides themselves instead of relying on a shaman or therapist.

Facilitators

Arvick Baghramian– a psychotherapist who for years worked with survivors of childhood abuse. Since the 1990s she has trained as a shamanic counsellor and teacher with Jonathan Horwitz (Scandinavian Shamanism Research Center) and Michael Harner (Foundation for Shamanic Studies). She has taught shamanism in many countries for 25 years and lives in Spain. She also runs workshops in Reiki, conscious breathing and the personal totem pole process.

Practical information

• Dates: 5–6 December 2026, Saturday and Sunday, 10:00–18:00

• Venue: the Tu i Teraz centre's room in Warsaw, ul. Balladyny 3C

• The workshop is translated from English into Polish

• Participants arrange their own accommodation and meals

• Registration: by e-mail through the centre; after confirmation, a deposit is paid within 7 days
