Zatrzymanie – Silent Retreat

“Zatrzymanie” (“Pausing”) is a five-day silent retreat at Oddechowo, held in December – a time when days grow short and nature quietens down. It is a chance to slow down before the New Year and notice how much energy goes into constantly reacting to thoughts, emotions, duties and expectations. For part of the retreat participants keep complete silence and limit the flow of information. The retreat does not aim to change who you are – rather, it offers space in which you can set aside whatever usually demands your attention, without planning the next step.

Who it is for

For people who:

• feel tired of constant rush and living from one task to the next

• experience overload, tension or racing thoughts

• need deep rest and regeneration

• want some distance from habitual reactions and emotions

• long for silence, simplicity and contact with themselves, and want to be with others in a calm, undemanding space

Programme

• group meditations and Satsang meetings

• periods of complete silence

• gentle movement, awareness of breath and body, rest

• walks and time in the winter nature around the centre

• support from the teacher and the group

According to the description, the aim is to step out of constant striving, to quieten down without forcing calm, to recognise what is present regardless of changing circumstances, and to regain inner stability.

Facilitators

Nitya (Patrycja Pruchnik)– has shared non-dual teaching in Poland and abroad for 13 years and has led more than 80 week-long meditation retreats. She is the author of books on the nature of Consciousness, and her teaching is rooted in Satsang – a meeting in silence and sincerity. A pianist and sociologist by training.
